Support us

Help us make a difference.

As a charity we rely on the support and generosity of our Friends, Patrons and supporters to help us care for our collection, present an innovative range of exhibitions and maintain the pioneering work of our Community Programme. We need to raise £1.8million annually and only 13% of our annual income comes from public subsidy.

Whether you are an individual or a business, there are many ways that you can support our work.

Support our work

Our exhibition programme is widely known for its originality and for celebrating well-known and overlooked British artists. Our Supporters’ Circles provide essential funding for our exhibitions. In return our supporters enjoy invitations to exclusive events and an association with our critically-acclaimed programme, which attracts a increasingly broad audience.

Our award-winning public programmes provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to explore their enjoyment of art. Whether its workshops for local residents or school visits to our exhibitions, we strive to provide our audiences with meaningful and inclusive access to our collection.

Our Development team would be happy to discuss with you the many ways in which you can support our work.

Gift Aid and why it makes a difference

We are a registered charity – all of our admission income goes towards the ongoing care of our buildings and collections, as well as further developing our public programmes. In 2017, Gift Aid donations raised nearly £80,000 towards our work, helping us on our mission to play a pivotal role in the creative lives of the widest possible audience.

All donations help us in our mission to stimulate new thinking about British art and to play a pivotal role in the creative lives of the widest possible audience.

The Coach House

In 2017 we purchased the original mews to the Queen Anne Pallant House that makes up half of what is known as Pallant House Gallery today. The reuniting of these significant historic properties comes at a crucial point for the Gallery as we begin our journey toward becoming recognised internationally as a centre for British art from 1900 to now.

The development of the Coach House is a major capital project anticipating an expansion of 300m2. This will be our most ambitious project since the creation of the contemporary wing in 2006.
